All of our reports are legitimate and are what you can generally expect, but it is fishing and Mother Nature can sometimes have her way.  We will not lie and boost our numbers or weights in our reports to gain your business like some.

Lake Tohopekaliga:  The fishing on Lake Toho has picked up dramatically since a couple of weeks ago.  We have been plagued be high winds and it has been somewhat hard to find a consistent bite out there.  However this past week (today being the 27th) I have been landing consistently 20 to 25 bass on 4 hour trips with some good fish being caught.    Last week we boated some big fish up to 9 lbs. Today we went out and boated 22 bass in a 6 hour trip with our biggest just a little over 5 lbs.  Not huge, but a decent fish.  We went through 5 and a half dozen shiners getting hits on all of them.  Even in high winds today we were still getting bit.  It has been a phenomenal bite out there.  There have also been some schoolers out there, not every day, but when are coming up, there are a bunch of them.  The artificial bite hasn't really taken off yet like it usually does this time of year, but should anytime.  Look for hydrilla beds and then try and find where the bed drops off into sparse hydrilla.

Butler Chain:   The artificial bite has started to turn on out on the lake.  The last few times out on the lake, plastics have produced better than live bait.  I can't say that we have caught any big fish in the last couple weeks, but the bite has steadily picked up and May should be a great month for this chain of lakes.  Look for the lakes with eel grass beds or pepper grass beds and fish the beds with plastics.  It will only get better through the summer months.

Conway:   Conway has been a great lake for action.  Can't say that any monsters are coming out of the lake, but the fish can be found schooling on the lake and the overall activity has picked up dramatically on artificials.  Of course you can catch them on shiners, but the craze is beginning.  Last year we were boating a ton of fish in May on Flukes and I expect that the fishing will be just as good as last.  Look for the fishing to continue to get better over the next few weeks.  And you can still find a fish or two on beds over there as of today.

Rodman:  I haven't had a chance to fish up there in a couple of months, but it was one of the best winter and springs that I have heard of in a while up there.  It should still be worth the drive.

Lake Kissimmee:  No Report

Walk-In-Water:   No Report

Tip of the Week

Look for grass beds and fish the grass bed edges.
