Quite often we hear horror stories of clients' past guide trips.
It wasn't what they expected and were disappointed with their
trip even though some of the trips were successful.
Whether it was the guide, the boat, hidden costs, not enough
fishing time, etc, it gives guided fishing a bad name. We
understand that a successful guide service is one that has a
high rate of return clients and referrals from those that have
fished with us. We don't want you to be a one time
customer. That is why we are dedicated to providing you
with the best service possible. From our
FREE TRANSPORTATION
to our NO FISH NO PAY
GUARANTEE, NO
REQUIRED DEPOSIT and overall enthusiasm about being on
the water; we are here to make sure that your Florida bass
fishing experience is a successful, but most importantly a fun
and exciting experience for anglers of all ages and experience
levels. We understand that clients never know what to
expect when booking a guide you know nothing about. With
that in mind while building this site, we have tried to include
everything we could think of regarding a trip with us to put
your mind at ease. Below you will find out exactly what
you can expect when you book a trip with us; from the boat you
will be fishing out of, to the preferred start time in the
mornings. Thank you for checking out our website and we
hope to hear from you in the near future.
Boat:
Capt. Justen Moore is
currently guiding out of a 2005 Skeeter ZX225 and is powered by
a Yamaha 225 V-Max HPDI.
Tackle &
Equipment: We supply all the tackle, though you're always
welcome to bring your own. We use quality
All-Star Rods and Pflueger and Abu Garcia reels. They consist
of spinning rods and bait casters (left and right handed).
We use Berkley Big Game 20lb on our shiner rods, P-Line on our bait casters and
braided line on our spinning rods.
We supply all the soft plastics and artificials used on
artificial trips.
What to
Bring: We provide just about everything
that you will need on the water including bottled water, soda,
ice, sunscreen, and rain gear. We recommend a hat and
sunglasses for those hot Florida afternoons. If you are
going to be on the water for more than a half day, you may want
to bring snacks or lunches. Usually if we pick you up we
will stop at a convenience store for you if you need anything
prior to the trip. We can also run into the marina for
burgers, hotdogs, pizzas, etc if you would like something hot
for lunch (and we are on Toho). Your own rain gear may be
a thought if you would feel more comfortable in your own stuff.
And again, any tackle or equipment you want to bring is welcome. Weather:
This is Florida, but it still gets pretty cold in the winter.
So, during the colder months be sure to dress in layers. It
could be 35 degrees in the mornings and 80 degrees in the
afternoons. But the run to the fishing spot in the morning
can be painful if you don't have enough layers on. Start
Time: We prefer to begin the majority of our trips at daybreak.
However, we can schedule trips to begin at other times upon request.
Many guide services run trips where you pay for time on the
water (meaning a half day is 4 hours on the water). You
might get 3 and a half hours of fishing if you only fished one
spot. If you fish more than one spot, that is less fishing
time for you. Expect to be on the water for 30 minutes to an hour longer than your
scheduled trip when you book a trip with us. We try to make
sure that you get four hours of fishing time for a half day and
so on.
What to Expect:
Expect to have FUN! Everyone wants to catch that once in a
lifetime trophy fish. Unfortunately, we don't catch them all
the time. So, just come enjoy yourself and appreciate
everything you put in the boat. We promise we will do our best, though,
to try and get you that 10 pounder! We are tournament
fisherman. However, we don't use guide trips as a way to get
paid to practice for upcoming tournaments. Your trip is
geared solely around you having a fun and successful experience.
We feel that we are a little more versatile than other guide
services because of our use of artificial lures and knowledge of
patterns on the lakes. If we are fishing with shiners we
will not pick up a rod. You will be setting every hook
unless it is requested that we help out with children that may
need it. If we are fishing artificials the guide will fish
some of the time. He will fish for a couple of reasons.
The first of which will be to give you confidence in your lure
and the area you are fishing. The second being to find a
pattern in the area. And third, to see if another bait may
produce more action. Expect to be catered to, sit back,
relax, and enjoy the fishing.
Women & Children:
Restroom facilities are usually close by most
fishing areas. We have no problem taking restroom breaks when
needed. We enjoy working with children and realize that they
are your future fishing partners and the future of the sport.
We will do everything we can to get the little ones hooked to
give you an excuse to get out on the water. And that goes
for the girls too.
Group & Company Trips:
We can arrange as many guides as you need for
as many days as you'd like to fish. Groups rates are
available, and can be negotiated. We are located close to
all Orlando attractions and the Orange County Convention Center.
Big fish tournaments with a weigh-in can also be arranged.
Just let us know what you want to do, and we'll set it up.
No Fish No Pay
Guarantee: Our guarantee is not a
gimmick as other guide services refer to it. Against what
everyone told us, we were the first in the area to offer the
true no fish no pay guarantee. Now just about every guide
service guarantees you catch fish, but there always seems to be
a catch to their promise. Not our promise! It is a
promise to you that you will catch at least one BASS (not just
any fish) on your trip fishing the location and way we suggest or you don't have to pay. Some days
are better than others and we wish this weren't the case.
Some days its, "you should have been here yesterday", and other
days its "be glad you weren't here yesterday".
We can't promise you how many you will catch or what size of
fish we will put in the boat. We do promise to do
everything we can to make your trip as successful as possible.
We can't bring ourselves to charge someone for a trip where we
were shut out. It would weigh to heavily on our conscience
and that is why we prepare ourselves to be successful. The
only thing you would cover in the event of being shut out would
be live bait (if any was purchased for the trip). Some say
they have a No Fish No Pay Guarantee, but they don't give back
that $75 to $100 deposit you left them. It would be left
up to you if you pay the guide, but you are not obligated to.
But just to let you know, we haven't been shut out in the past 5
years. You will catch fish guaranteed!
